Our Story
Chennai Street Vendors platform was born from recognizing the vital role that street vendors play in our city's ecosystem. These entrepreneurs provide essential services, from fresh produce to prepared foods, often serving as the backbone of local neighborhoods.
Using data from the Greater Chennai Corporation's 2017 street vendor registry, we've created a digital platform that makes it easier for residents to discover and connect with local vendors. Our platform respects the Tamil heritage of our vendors while providing modern tools for community connection.
